This course meets the initial EPA and HUD training requirements for this discipline in public housing and child-occupied facilities. It meets OSHA Lead Hygiene and Hazard Communication requirements. Additionally, training requirements are completed for compliance with the OSHA Respiratory Protection (including fit testing) and Personal Protective Equipment standards as well as US DOT HAZMAT Awareness certification for shippers of hazardous materials (lead).
Note: Respirator fit testing may be provided during these sessions for individuals who are medically cleared and clean-shaven in the area of the facepiece seal. If you would like to be fit tested in this class, you must bring your own respirator. Smoking/eating/drinking is prohibited 30 minutes prior to the actual fit tests.
